Birth of Zoetvbox...

At end of 2015, I decided to record n explain how Zoetvbox come about...

At that time, while xiaomi is the favorite box in Singapore. I post on other group that this is not value for money. Group owner ask me to pay if I want to start groupbuy. I have no intention to start groupbuy that time.. Subsequently, they kicked me out of their group ...
If I want to prove to people that xiaomi is not the only box... I need to let people try alternative box. So I started my first groupbuy on 10moon T2 box.

Groupbuy get tougher than I imagine. I bear risk of faulty box. I did plan to stop groupbuy but subsequent , I managed to root 10moon. With new progress, I continued with groupbuy as I wanted to share this rooted set.

While i post screenshot of CartoonHD, i refuse to tell people the app name. Yes, I found CartoonHD much earlier than anyone else, I give privileges to my box buyer. Tat time my thought is to force people to step out to share , to join me.  As long as someone share something, I will share CartoonHD. Unfortunately, I still get no help....... then someone attack me in my group... so sad that I did not get any support... feeling all alone.

I stopped groupbuy...getting wear out.. just telling people what box is good. They can buy themselves... then I come across Amlogic S805 box. I tempted to try out....a member tell me juz buy, he willing to wait.... he buy for parents. In most case, I rejected because I unable to commit n not confident since it is also new box to me but he put full trust letting me free play. I take up this ...
Since the box is for parent. It must be user friendly. I took 3wk, few sleepless night to complete my own launcher.... I know once it goes to public, it will be shared out easily. So I need to protect my work. I recalled a ex buyer telling me that she like my box and it could be a brand. I created Zoetvbox

Now 3week of hardwork shouldn't be only to limited people. I started groupbuy again with intention to share out this design. Again, supporting new user is not easy, takes time...wear out easily. I asked for help... but noone. I raised price of my box in order to get someone to help me....things not as smooth as it goes.

Along the way, I noticed that I get discriminated by other fb group because I am a group owner and done groupbuy. I noticed my work was out to public and others become hero.

I not giving up on Zoetvbox. Its my hard work. A auntie without knowledge in android ... to come to this far... l moving on...

28/Dec - I used to have a few android box.. each time app get outdated, gotta update them... too much time and effort...

In Sep, while playing 1 box, somehow got error, though it can be fixed but I'm so tired of repeat fixing, I lelong all away at $30 n keep only Zoetvbox.

So idea is to stay 1 model then focus on it... zoetvbox has recovery features, take only 4min to restore... other box no such features.

In Nov, to perfect my android box w dvb-t2 , I buy more stuff.. experiment and I success ...

Dec is very busy month for me. One android box come to my attention, ie android 5.1. This box very value for $. Now, I have to make a decision if I still want to focus 1 model only... option
1) Zoetvbox
2) dvb t2 box
3) android 5.1

Due to different kernel, option 2 n 3 would mean I need to sacrifice zoetvbox launcher I loved so much or patch it. Patching is no longer easy for me........

My bad experience with taobao

1. I got faulty product, seller agree to refund once I removed my bad comment... I did but seller stop responding. I did not get $ back.

2.  2nd time I got faulty product, they took long time to respond, I give bad comment n I refused to remove my bad comment this time when they contacted me. Obviously, no $ back.

3. I buy 2 item but only received 1. Seller agree to refund but delay... i give bad remark.. they ask me to remove, I refuse. They also not refunding me for tat item they did not sent me at all...

4. Another fake product seller does not even contact me about my bad comment. Today, I saw the item off shelf and they put up same item with 1 dummy good comment.. Sigh....

5. I kenna fine for Battery in my shipment though I already asked seller to remove.

Yes, I shop without agent so its my risk. I do hav choice to get taobao to interfere but i did not cos..i find it hassle.
Nevertheless, I always move on. Still continue shopping.....lol....

How is Android TV box compared to smart TV?
Smart TV also run on Android/Linux, it is usually embedded in TV.  The problem with integration is you unable to upgrade this little hardware. I noticed my smart TV only come with single core CPU and nowadays a quad core TV box can cost less than $80.
My advise : Dun buy smart TV. Just a small TV box is good enough to make your normal TV smart.



Can Android TV box run Google Store
- Yes, but take note that Google store kept collection of Mobile phone app. Mostly not designed for TV box and will not respond to TV box remote. Nevertheless, you can still install Android app in mobile version. Just can use mouse or flymouse to navigate.
